Taradale is a great place to shop, dine, unwind and do business. It’s an area consistently popular with homebuyers of all ages but particularly families. There’s an abundance of community facilities with parks, reserves, a library, good schools, childcare options and a great range of clubs. Church Road is home to two of the Bay’s icons, The Mission Estate Winery and Church Road Winery, both are popular as dining and wedding venues. Their wine heritage goes back to the 1850s and 1890s respectively. The Mission is well known for its annual concert with top names like Rod Stewart who is performing in April 2022. Church Road has a popular series of summer concerts. Gloucester Street is the hub of the shopping centre which has an eclectic mix of stores ranging from cafes, to hair and beauty salons, restaurants, professional and service businesses – all set in a friendly, safe and attractive environment. Everything you need is all in within easy walking distance, so you can tick off many tasks on your ‘to do list’ with one stop. It’s actually very convenient having the majority of shops all in the one street. There’s plenty of parking and a relaxed ambience which makes it a pleasure to visit. The street is nicely landscaped with leafy trees and plantings along with contemporary seating. In fact if you haven’t visited in a while you may be pleasantly surprised with the range of goods and services available in Gloucester and adjoining streets. In addition to numerous cafes there are fashion, health and beauty shops, pharmacies and stationery stores. There are ATMs, an optometrist, gift shops, a craft store and lingerie store. Bulk buying of household food basics and whole foods is possible and there’s an Asian food store. Restaurants offer Thai and Indian cuisine then there’s a tavern, a family eatery, a Chinese restaurant and fish and chips are also available. Doctors, dentists and accountants are readily available along with automotive specialists, mechanics and plumbers. There’s a medical centre, physiotherapists and midwives so pretty much all day to day needs can be met in Taradale. Shop in Taradale and you are supporting ‘Shop Local’ which ensures that you continue to have a vibrant community to live, work and play in. It’s also the best way to catch up with friends and neighbours, support and connect to your community. So before you head further afield – think about whether you could shop in Taradale.
